Time and again in life people – myself included – settle for mediocrity.
For conformity, for what they think is “stability”, for “middlingness”, for just being average.
Our human lives are very short. We only have a very small number of years to live. We may come round again, be recycled, reincarnated, move on to the after life, heaven – or maybe not.
But the one thing that is certain is that, in our present living bodies we only have a very short time span available to us on this earth. Furthermore, we don’t even know how many years this will be!
So this fact makes it all the more important for us to make the most of our allotted years. Life is far too short not to!
I’ve compiled a list of the things that to me are the most important in life.
Here they are:
Life is too short…
To stay in a job that you don’t like.
To read about things and never do them.
To worry about what other people think.
To follow the herd.
To dream about something instead of doing it.
To stay put and not travel.
To hold prejudices.
To hold on to your fears.
To compromise your values.
To be mediocre or average.
To play it safe.
To be miserable or grumpy.
To eat bland food.
To wear bland clothes.
To spend watching TV.
To hang on to clutter.
To take too seriously.
To not laugh and have fun.
To not speak your mind.
To not be ambitious.
To be negative.
To live in the past.
To wish away the present by living in the future.
To not do things differently.
To not break out of the 9 to 5 and do what’s most important to you in life.
